The Society For Biomaterials hosted a webinar on Making Scientific Presentations on Thursday, February 27, 2020. The webinar's intention was to guide and educate students about giving lucid and impactful presentations and elevator pitches, as well as to help experienced professionals improve their presentation skills. A presentation at a meeting is more than a point of information on your CV, it’s an opportunity to communicate about your research, and in doing so effectively develop new contacts and collaborations. The webinar covered:
- Presentations at a conference;
- Thesis Defense;
- Job Interviews;
- Investor pitches.
This webinar was presented by Neil Thompson from “Teach the Geek” (youtube.teachthegeek.com) with questions and input from Jason Guo, 2019-2020 SFB National Student Chapter President.
