The Society For Biomaterials is happy to announce that our members continue to make the news! One of our longstanding members, Guillermo Ameer, ScD, Nortwestern University, has two high profile articles in recent publications we wanted to share with you. First, an article entitled “3D Printing to Keep Life Flowing” published in the 13 March 2018 issue of Materials Today features some 3D printing innovations, and he has the cover article in this month’s issue of the Journal of Controlled Release. This article, “Inhibiting intimal hyperplasia in prosthetic vascular grafts via immobilized all-trans retinoic acid”, speaks to his vascular works regarding peripheral arterial disease as a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. Congratulations on this outstanding work from the Society For Bioamterials!
