An SFB delegation, which included Past Presidents Art Coury, Liisa Kuhn, Joel Bumgardner and other members of the US SFB, participated in the successful and well attended 5th China-US Joint Forum on Standards, Regulation, and Innovation in Dalian, China. Participants, including Society members Nicholas Peppas, Tony Mikos, Buddy Ratner, Len Pinchuck, Andres Garcia, Horst von Recum, Cato Laurencin, Kam Leong, Steve Little, Jennifer Elisseeff, Joyce Wong, Bill Wagner, Brenden Harley, Jason Burdick, Elizabeth Cosgriff Hernandez, Timmie Topoleski, Don Elbert, Helen Lu, Jeff Hubbell and Melody Swartz and others, shared views on regulatory and standard changes and challenges for both countries to identify areas of common interest and impact. Participants also had the opportunity to share their experiences with translating their biomaterial technologies to define best-practices and successful strategies.
