Dear Colleagues and Friends,

We are all proud and excited to start planning for the 35th Canadian Biomaterials Society Annual Conference, that will be held in Québec City at the Loews Le Concorde Hotel, downtown, from May 21-24, 2019.

Biomaterials, medical devices, health-related materials, for replacing, regenerating, imaging, treating and diagnosing diseased tissue is an ecosystem that continues to push the boundaries of clinical therapies. A number of biomaterials and devices already save or improve the quality of the life of millions around the Globe. Exciting products are still emerging in the clinic, while preclinical research is developing approaches that exhibit substantial promise. It is a wonderful time for CBS to provide a comprehensive update on these endeavors.

Quebec City, its World UNESCO Heritage and its unique atmosphere is the ideal place for supporting a Canadian meeting where the early Canadian history meets the most innovative and futuristic advances. This unique ambiance will be the ideal environment-fostering meeting, enjoying, sharing and networking.

This conference will be organised, planned and managed to be transversal, from basic to clinical sciences, from discoveries to inventions, stimulating the approach from patients to materials, and not the reverse. We will strive to create an agenda that fosters integrative and circular routes of thinking, inspiring young minds, transforming old visions, and accelerating clinical solutions.

Finally, we are organising this conference to be an experience. While targeting the highest scientific and technical level, as usual, a warm and friendly networking experience will be present.

We promise you that this will be the conference of all Canadians, from the east to the west coast. Please help us in making this event an experience and register to our newsletter!
